Chamber music concerts in Russia and France
With the spring of 2018 almost here, Gidon Kremer and soloists from chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica are preparing for concerts in Russia and France.
Together with Gidon Kremer and quartet formed from soloists and friends of Kremerata Baltica (Agata Daraškaitė (violin), Giorgi Zagareli (viola), Giedrė Dirvanauskaitė (violoncello), Andrius Žlabys (piano)) will start the tour in Russia (Yekaterinburg, 18.03; and Novosibirsk, 20.03), where pieces of A.Schnittke and M.Weinberg will be performed.
The tour will continue in Paris (France, 03.04), where another group of Kremerata Baltica soloists and friends – Džeraldas Bidva (violin), Madara Pētersone (violin), Santa Vižine (viola), Pēteris Čirkšis (violoncello), and Andrius Žlabys (piano) – will perform at the beautiful Musée d’Orsay. A special program dedicated to the Centenaries of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia has been prepared representing the music and composers of all the three Baltic States. The concert marks the beginning of an exhibition dedicated to Symbolism in the art of the Baltic countries (exhibition will be open 3 April – 29 May, 2018).
