Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica Nonet perform at the Arcus Temporum Festival in Pannonhalma, Hungary

Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica Nonet traveled to Hungary to perform at the breathtaking Pannonhalma Archabbey during the Arcus Temporum Festival. Gidon Kremer performed two solo recitals with the music of Mieczysław Weinberg “Preludes to a Lost Time” (a multi-media project where 24 Preludes for cello solo, arranged for violin by Gidon Kremer are combined with the photographs of Antanas Sutkus) and 2 Sonatas for Violin Solo. With Kremerata Baltica Gidon Kremer prepared an evening of chamber music with the program ranging from Ferruccio Busoni’s piano scores to Osvaldo Golijov’s “Last Round”, inspired by tango music. Gidon Kremer and Georgijs Osokins performed together Mieczysław Weinberg’s Sonata No. 6 for violin and Piano and Gidon Kremer and Madara Pētersone Weinberg’s Sonata for Two Violins. Also Kremerata Baltica Nonet performed Shostakovich’s String Octet and Kancheli’s “V&V”. Here we collected beautiful photos by Hungarian photographer Sandor Ujvari from our concert.
